Mr. and Mrs. Aragno | Fall Creek Falls State Park
Willow and Steven's wedding at Fall Creek Falls State Park in Spencer, TN was one I won't soon forget. I had been looking forward to this wedding ever since Willow contacted me last year. Willow reached out to me through email and told me that her and her soon to be hubby and planned a non-traditional ceremony at an overlook in the park. Since Willow and Steven live in California she told me that there wasn't going to be many people there. Small and intimate weddings always end up being some of my favorites.
Willow and Steven are the definition of a fun-loving, adventurous, and outdoorsy couple. Their day started at the cabins where Willow was getting ready. When I arrived I spoke with Willow about the final details of the day. Just the night before the weather was calling for rain and thunderstorms right at the time of the wedding. So to be on the precautionary side the bride and groom decided to move up the wedding time to try and beat the rain. Luck was on our side on this day! The rain held off not only until after the ceremony but after the bride and groom portraits had been taken. My photographer heart was elated!
Willow and Steven had decided to hold their ceremony at Buzzard's Roost Overlook. I had never been to Fall Creek Falls or this overlook before so I honestly had no idea what to expect. I followed the wedding party down a trail that lead directly to the overlook. The view immediately took my breath away. The bride and groom had chosen to unite their two paths in an earth blending ceremony. This was such an intimate and personal way to include their close family and friends in their unity. After the ceremony and family photos it was time for the bride and groom portraits!
Ya'll I had been thinking about these photos ever since I met with Willow and Steven for their consultation! We began their portraits on the overlook where their ceremony was held and finished alongside a suspension bridge! This wedding was truly something out of a fairytale!
Willow and Steven, I am so happy for the both of you! I hope that your journey together as husband and wife brings you many laughs, memories, and new adventures. I am beyond blessed to have been able to be there at the beginning of your new life as husband and wife. Thank you a million times over for entrusting me to photograph your special day!
