Adventurous and Snowy Engagement Session at Norris Dam State Park
Amber and I first met each other when we started working together at a doctor’s office in Knoxville. We very quickly realized our similarities in interests and became fast friends. We both shared a love for tattoos, travel and adventure. It wasn’t long before Amber and I talked about her boyfriend, Graften. You could instantly tell how she felt about him by the way her eyes lit up and she couldn’t stop smiling when she’d talk about him.
When Graften proposed, he planned the SWEETEST proposal. He and Amber both enjoyed going to the mountains and exploring. So, while enjoying sunrise in the mountains he got down on one knee with a handmade ring box filled with moss from the Smoky Mountains and asked Amber to be his bride. Someone needs to get Hallmark in on this one!
Before they moved to Florida, I had the chance to work with the two of them during a spontaneous engagement session. The weather forecast was calling for snow and the vision that Amber and I had for this session would work perfectly with some snow flurries in the photos. We discussed details and location and hoped that (like most of the time) the weather forecast wasn’t wrong.
What can I tell you about their session? We just had fun! We included everything from their vehicle to donuts that they’d picked up on the way. Your engagement session, or any session for that matter, should express you and your fiance’s story and personality. Make it fun! Make it whimsy! I can promise you that if you do that, you will love your photos even more!
In just a few short weeks, Amber and Graften will be exchanging rings and saying their vows to one another right here in Tennessee and I am so excited to be there for their special day. I know everything will be absolutely beautiful and there is no doubt in my mind that everything about their ceremony will be genuine and heartfelt.
