Classic and Timeless Wedding with Bold Pops of Color at Roberts Farm
What does timeless really mean? We hear the term often, especially in the wedding industry, but do you know what it really means or how it relates to your images or wedding style? Timeless is defined as, “not affected by the passage of time or changes in fashion.” To me, this means that 50 years from now you can look back at your wedding photos and not have to say, “oh that was just the trend back then.” You would be able to look back through those images and see a beautiful wedding and still be able to replicate that in the current day.
This is exactly what I saw when I photographed Emery and Peyton’s wedding at Robert’s Farm. Emery and Peyton chose a timless look for their wedding but elevated that with adding bold and bright pops of color that was perfect for their summer wedding!
Let’s talk about Emery’s dress! She followed through with her classic and timless theme with this stunning gown from Lillian Ruth Bride. Her veil was perfection! A mid-length veil with pearls added throughout…gorgeous! I’m seeing more and more of this style of dress and I am not mad about it. There’s something so beautiful about a “simplistic” style dress that has no lace, no glitter, no tulle and it’s just a show-stopper all it’s own.
Working with Emery and Peyton was an absolute dream. They are each so easy going and kind. Emery never stopped smiling throughout the entire day, especially once we did the first look with Peyton. She said that he keeps her laughing and I absolutely adore that! Getting to spend time and get to know my couples is one of the best parts about my job, it makes it all the more special.
One of the biggest pieces of advice that I can give you is to make your wedding resemble you and your fiance. Let it show both of your styles. Regardless if that style is a “trend” or if it is considered timeless and classic. Your wedding decor and “theme” is an expression of yourself and your significant other. Make it fun! Show your personality! Doing small things like that makes it even more memorable.
