Bridal Session | Charleston, South Carolina

I can finally share one of the main reasons that we went to Charleston this year!!

I have a "bucket list" for photography. A list filled with dream sessions that I would like to do. Many of those sessions take place around the world. This was one of those sessions. Probably around summer of last year I had a thought come to mind about doing a bridal session in Charleston. Charleston is filled with beautiful alleys, architectures and the infamous Rainbow Row so to do a bridal session there...it would be magical.

When I met with Chelsea and her mother we discussed a bridal session. I asked what she thought about doing a bridal session in Charleston, SC. In my head I was thinking there is no way anyone would want to drive all the way to South Carolina for photos. Chelsea replied with, "Sure! We always take a mother-daughter trip every year anyways so we can go there this year." Ya'll... I'm pretty sure I had to do a reality check and come back down to earth when she told me this. I was ecstatic. Not only were her and her fiance getting married at one of my dream venues but now I was also going to get to mark this dream session off of my bucket list!

My husband and I decided to do a weekend getaway the weekend of the session. We ended up staying in Summerville, SC which is about 30ish minutes from Charleston. If you haven't visited Summerville - pack your bags right now and go visit! We fell in love with this little town. Southern charm, beautiful homes and the best sweet tea! We had talked with Chelsea and her mom and knew they had made it safely. We planned the day and time of Chelsea's session and spent the rest of our weekend adventuring and seeing the sights. (I'll be sharing personal photos later!)

I still can't believe this session happened. I'm pretty sure I never stopped smiling this entire weekend. I can not thank Chelsea and her mom, Paula, enough for being so willing to come on this adventure with us. I am so excited to share Chelsea and Scott's wedding photos with you! Those are coming soon!!

Until next time,

- B.
