What a day!

I love it when I get in my car from photographing a wedding and my cheek bones are sore from smiling and laughing so much. This is exactly what happened on Scott and Chelsea’s wedding day!

These two are adventurers. Why do I say this? Because when I first met with Chelsea to book their wedding and we were planning their engagement session she was all for doing their engagement session in Asheville, NC. Then when I mentioned doing mentioned a bridal session in Charleston, SC yet again… she didn’t hesitate. She said that her and her mom usually take a mother-daughter trip once a year so they would be happy to go! Chelsea and Scott helped me mark off so many things on my photography bucket list and I could not be more grateful!

Chelsea and Scott chose The Standard in Knoxville as their wedding venue. I was ecstatic to finally be able to photograph a wedding at this beautiful venue!

The place looked beautiful! The vision that Chelsea and Scott had for their wedding day had come to life and it was absolutely stunning! From the personal touches of their photos together and the story of how they met all the way down to the colors that had been chosen. Everything was perfect!

If you saw Chelsea and Scott’s engagement session, you know that their furbaby plays a very important role in their lives. Thor also played a very important role in their wedding as one of the ring bearers. Ya’ll having your furbabies in your wedding should be some sort of requirement! Thor was escorted down the aisle by his buddy Ziek and the room immediately filled with audible “awes!” Seriously - the sweetest thing ever.

After Chelsea and Scott exchanged vows in front of family and friends they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. and walked down the aisle with Thor in tow! We were fortunate enough to be able to grab a few more bride and groom portraits on the rooftop following the ceremony! It had rained on an off through out the day so we had our fingers crossed that we would see some sunshine!

Chelsea and Scott were greeted with celebratory applause and cheers upon entering their reception. They opened the dance floor with their first dance as husband and wife and the festivities began shortly after. The rest of the night was filled with laughter, dancing and most importantly…lots of love for this sweet couple.

Chelsea and Scott, I will never be able to thank you enough for taking me on this journey with you. From the Carolinas to here in Knoxville I’ve had an amazing time getting to know, not only the two of you, but your family and friends as well! I will never forget your wedding day! I wish you both the very, very best and pray that you have many years of love, laughter and wonderful memories together!
