September 2nd, 2017 ~ Brittney and Shae | New Tazewell, Tennessee
" I don't believe in magic," the young boy said.
The old man smiled. "You will when you see her." - Atticus
The beginning of fall wedding season began with these two! Brittney and Shae were married at Upper Room Ministries in New Tazewell, Tennessee on a day that was perfect for the fall theme they had planned. Brittney had incorporated aspects of fall color everywhere, and if there is anything that I love more than Disney or Harry Potter it is the fall season!
Brittney and Shae decided to stay with tradition and wait until the ceremony to see one another, but they did exchange hand written letters before the ceremony began. This is always an option, and something that I will suggest, if you and your soon to be spouse would like to stick with tradition! Hand written letters are something personal and tangible that you can keep and hold on to throughout the years. My husband and I decided to have a first look, but we also exchanged handwritten letters as well. Those letters are framed and hanging above our bed. I've read those letters countless times and each time they bring tears to my eyes. Please consider doing this on your wedding day!
While going through and editing Brittney and Shae's bride and groom portraits, I literally couldn't make the decision between color and black and white lol. I loved them both! Brittney's cathedral length veil was absolutely stunning and can we talk about her blue eyes for a second?! Gorgeous right?! This time that I get to spend with the newlyweds is my absolute favorite part of the day. Just being able to see the wedding glow and the excitement on both of their faces is part of why I love being a wedding photographer so much.
Brittney and Shae were greeted at their reception with applause, hugs, and cheers! The way that these two looked at one another during their first dance was something straight out of a Nicholas Sparks novel. They spent the rest of their evening dancing and mingling with their guests and cutting (and smashing) some amazing wedding cake! When it was time for their exit their guests made sure they knew just how loved they were... (check out that birdseed ya'll lol!)
