May 13th 2017 ~ Leah and Colton | Maynardville, Tennessee

I am so excited to finally share this wedding with you! Leah and Colton's wedding day was nothing short of beautiful. We had been slightly concerned about the weather due to the day prior to the wedding it poured!! We were blessed with such a beautiful day with sunshine and blue skies.

The ceremony was held on the ridge top of big ridge state park and overlooked Norris lake. The view was stunning and breathtaking. They were surrounded by friends and family in their intimate ceremony to watch these two conjoin their lives and become one.  As a physical representation of their unity, Leah and Colton nailed a wooden box together that contained a bottle of wine and letters to one another. If they were to ever have a major disagreement or argument they are to open the box, share the bottle of wine, and read the letters that they wrote to one another in separate rooms. If in ten years they have not had to open this box, then they can open it together, share the bottle of wine and read their letters that they wrote to the other on their wedding day. I've never seen this done before and I absolutely love the idea of this representation!

After the reception we were lucky enough to photograph more of their bride and groom portraits in golden hour (a photographer's dream!) We were just across from the lake as well!

This day was full of laughs, memories, and love for these two people just starting their new journey as husband and wife!
