Smoky Mountain Sunrise Anniversary Session | Knoxville Portrait Photographer | Knoxville, Tennessee

Last year, I was able to meet up with Megan and Matt to take some photos to celebrate their wedding anniversary. I first worked with Megan and Matt when I reached out to them to model for a styled bride and groom session on top of a mountain during a (very) cold February back in 2017. Once again, these two proved to be troopers in the cold weather conditions. Even though it was the middle of November and we were high up in the mountains at sunrise Megan and Matt rocked their session from start to finish!

We met up in Townsend at 6:30 am and made our way up the mountain before the sun came up. I had never visited this portion of Elkmont before so I really had no idea what to expect. We parked, got out of our cars and made our way towards the abandoned cabins. I knew we had to incorporate these into the session! Megan had told me that one of her and Matt’s favorite things to do is to explore abandoned places. I believe that is how they actually stumbled across Elkmont.

We walked around the area, made stops here and there, and made a loop back to where our cars were. Another adventure with this sweet couple in the books and some of my favorite images from 2018 as well. I will forever be thankful for, not only this couple, but each and every client who entrusts me to photograph their special moments. I am thankful for each and every one of you and grateful for every adventure.
