April 28th 2018 ~ Ericka & CJ | The Barn | Powell, Tennessee

So far I am loving the 2018 wedding season! I have met and photographed some amazing and beautiful couples and have more weddings to come!

Ericka reached out to me through Instagram last fall inquiring about my wedding pricing and information. She told me that her and her fiance were planning a Spring wedding in 2018 and may reach out to me as the time got closer. In February of this year I received a message from Ericka that said, " I know this is probably going to be already booked but do you have availability for a wedding on April 28th?"  I got all the smiley face emojis when I replied to her saying that I did have that date available! 

We chose a day to meet up for their consultation and I was able to meet both Ericka and her fiance, CJ. Ericka has got to be one of the sweetest people on the planet and CJ has got to be one of the funniest lol! We chatted about wedding details, how they met, and I even got to hear about their first date :) 

Ericka told me that the venue they had chosen for their wedding was The Barn located in Powell. Having looked at this venue for my own wedding, I was super excited to be able to get the chance to photograph CJ and Ericka's special day at such a beautiful place! These two and their family and friends had thought of everything. From the decor, the cake, flowers, and candy bar everything was perfect! 

We were blessed with a non-rainy day in April. If you're from East Tennessee you know how big of a deal this is lol! Ericka and CJ said their vows in front of a beautiful pond and lush green fields surrounded by friends and family. Before the night was over we snuck away to small field off to the side that was adorned with little yellow flowers. I had been eyeing this spot since I arrived that morning and knew I just had to take some of their portraits there!  Trust me - it did not disappoint. Even stepping on the thorn bush was worth it! (To those who know my nickname of "Grace" - this fits right along with just how graceful I can be.) 

I am so thankful that Ericka and CJ chose and entrusted me to capture their beautiful day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! It was a joy to celebrate with you two and share in the love and memories of your wedding day!
