October 14th, 2017 | Jesse and John ~ Spout Spring Estates Winery & Vineyard | Blaine, Tennessee
Have you ever met a couple and instantly known that they are soulmates and that they are meant to be?
This was exactly the case whenever I met John and Jesse. Jesse had reached out to me via email about questions regarding potentially booking me for her and John's wedding day. We sent a few emails back and forth discussing pricing, details, etc. and decided to set up a consult meeting to go over the wedding day contract. Jesse and John live in Alabama but were planning a wedding in Blaine, Tennessee. So, we chose a date that they were going to be in town to officially meet and go over more details for their special day!
When Jesse and John arrived I could instantly tell how in sync these two people were. They knew what the other was thinking, laughed at inside jokes, and even finished each other's sentences. How much more perfect can you get? I loved how they took the other's thoughts and feelings into consideration before making a decision. We discussed details, plans for the wedding day, and even discussed a little Lord of The Rings! This wedding I could not wait for!
Here's a fun little side note - these two are both actors! This is also how they met! Jesse told me that she was an actor in My Fair Lady and told me a few of her stories...I'm pretty sure my jaw dropped. To hear their stories and experiences is mine boggling. I have nothing but complete admiration for these two.
So the big day arrived and I set my GPS for Spout Spring Estates and Vineyard in Blaine, Tennessee. I had never been here before so this was completely new territory for me. I arrived and everything was perfect. The venue, the weather, the decor...I was in a photographer's heaven. Jesse and John spent some time with their wedding party discussing details, giving gifts, and sharing memories and laughs.
Jesse had told me that she would like to do a "corner picture" with John. If you don't want to do a first look but would like to say a prayer or talk to your soon to be spouse before the wedding this is an excellent option. So, I had John in place where he wouldn't be able to see Jesse and as soon as they took hands, breaths were exhaled and shoulders relaxed, there were even a few tears shed. They were so anxious to see each other and become husband and wife.
Since Jesse and John are actors you probably assume that their friends are performers as well. You would assume correctly. And what an AMAZING wedding party!! This was the best procession I've ever photographed. I had no idea that they were dancing down the aisle and my shutter was going off at lightning speeds lol. There was so much joy and fun and laughter on this day. But nothing compared to the look on John's face when he saw his bride. Jesse entered and nothing else in the world mattered to him. His gaze was fixated solely on his soon to be wife.
Their ceremony was heartfelt and personal, with handwritten vows and special promises, and their lives were united as one in front of friends and family. After family, wedding party photos, and a few bride and groom portraits were finished we headed over to the reception area.
Jesse and John were welcomed with applause and hugs from their loved ones. Heartfelt and priceless toasts were made to the happy couple and then it was time to hit the dance floor. I was able to steal Jesse and John away for a few golden hour photos before it got too dark. Golden hour is my favorite time of day.The light is beautiful and it makes for some stunning photos!
As the sun set and the day ended it was time for me to head home. I was honestly sad to see this wedding end. This day was filled with so much fun, laughter, and memories. It's been one of my top five favorite weddings that I've ever photographed. I feel so blessed to have met these wonderful people and share in such a special day.
Jesse and John - I can't tell you how much of a pleasure it was to meet you both and photograph your wedding day, it was truly an honor. You both are so inspiring and I'm thrilled that you both found your soulmate. Hearing your stories, especially from traveling, has inspired me to chase after my dreams even more. I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness and many, many years together.
"I would rather spend one lifetime with you than face all of the ages of the world alone."
