Engagement & Couples Photography
Photos that feel like the two of you.
No stiff poses. No wondering what to do with your hands. Just the two of you being yourselves.
The Good Stuff Is In Between.
The big laughs. The quiet moments. The way you look at each other when you think I’m not taking a photo.
Your session isn’t about perfectly posing for the camera. It’s about having fun together, soaking up this season and walking away with photos you’ll actually love.
“But we’re awkward in photos…”
Perfect!
You don’t need to know what to do in front of my camera. I’ll give you plenty of direction without making anything feel stiff or overly posed.
We’ll walk. We’ll talk. I’ll probably make you do something that feels completely ridiculous.
And we’ll laugh a lot!
Make It Yours.
Downtown date night. Barefoot in a field. Your favorite hiking spot. Bring the dog. Dress it up. Keep it casual.
We’ll choose a location and plan a session you’re genuinely excited about.
Just Said Yes?
Celebrate the season before “I do.”
Just Because.
No milestone required. Love each other is reason enough.

What You’re Wondering…
-
Not at all! You don’t need a proposal, anniversary or any other big milestone. Dating, engaged, married for 20 years or simply overdue for some good photos together — there’s always a reason to document the season you’re in.

Abso-freaking-lutely! If your pup is part of the family, bring them. I recommend having someone come along who can take over leash duty for part of the session so we can get plenty of photos of just the two of you, too.
-
The sooner you know you’d like a session, the better — especially if you have a particular season or date in mind. Fall and spring dates tend to fill the quickest, so I recommend reaching out early if you have your heart set on one of those.

We’ll choose a location based on the look you’re going for, the season and what works best for your session. Whether you’re dreaming of downtown Knoxville, an open field, mountain views or somewhere a little more meaningful to you, I’m happy to help you narrow it down.
-
I sure do! Weddings are actually a huge part of what I photograph. If you’re planning your wedding and still looking for a photographer, you can explore my wedding experience, browse real wedding days and see if we might be a good fit!

That depends on the location and the look we’re going for, but most outdoor sessions take place in the couple of hours before sunset when the light is soft and flattering. Once we’ve chosen your location and date, I’ll recommend a start time that gives us the best lighting.
