Fanciful Purple and Grey Wedding at The Kincaid House

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to photograph Josh and Gabby’s spring wedding at The Kincaid House. This year has been an absolute nightmare for brides, wedding planners and frankly, anyone involved in the wedding industry.

Luckily, Josh and Gabby were able to have their wedding just before all of this COVID-19 mess got amped up. There were still a few changes they had to make due to COVID-19 though. Unforunately, several of their family members and friends were unable to come into town for the wedding. Even though their attendees were not at the numbers that they had originally planned for, Gabby and Josh were still surrounded by their loved ones.

Thankfully, it did not rain! It was overcast the majority of the day with a little bit of chill in the air. Josh and Gabby’s ceremony was very sweet and intimate. During the ceremony I noticed that both Josh’s parents and Gabby’s parents were holding hands as their children said their vows. So sweet! These unplanned and unexpected moments are always some of my favorite things to photograph during the ceremony.

We utilized the gorgeous landscape at The Kincaid House to take Josh and Gabby’s bride and groom portraits. The greenery reminds me of scenes from Alice in Wonderland! Anyone else get those vibes? I kept expecting the White Rabbit to jump out and tell me that he was late. Haha!

Josh and Gabby, thank you both so much for asking me to be a part of your special day. It was an honor to be your wedding photographer. You both made a wedding during a pandemic look like a cake walk! I wish the two of you many, many years of love and happiness and an AMAZING honeymoon once these travel restrictions are all gone!

XO,

B.
